A sales manager for your team, without the full-time hire
We run the weekly rhythm of your sales team: targets, check-ins, pipeline reviews and coaching, so you can stop managing reps and get back to running the company.
Who it's for
Founders of IT services, MSP, cybersecurity and SaaS companies with one or more salespeople and nobody to manage them day to day. It's a fit when reps need direction and accountability but a full-time sales manager isn't affordable or necessary yet.
What we handle
- Targets and KPIs: clear activity and pipeline goals for each rep.
- Team rhythm: daily or weekly check-ins and stand-ups.
- Pipeline reviews: deal-by-deal coaching on next steps.
- Hiring and onboarding: job descriptions, interviews and a 30-day ramp plan for new reps.
- Performance: reviews, feedback and accountability.
How it works
We start with an assessment of your team, process and numbers. You approve targets and a weekly rhythm, then we run it with you and send a monthly team scorecard showing activity, pipeline and what we're fixing next. Sales training for your reps is included.
Experience
Arsalan Haider Zaidi brings 14+ years of experience working with international clients in operations, sales and marketing, and team management. He has managed sales teams for over nine years, including the sales team and subcontractors of a Canadian home renovation company (more than $2 million in sales across 76 projects, including $213,000 in kitchen renovations) and the sales team of a US-based ServiceNow consulting partner. When a fractional sales manager makes sense
Most founders hire their first salespeople before they hire someone to manage them. The founder ends up running sales on top of everything else, so check-ins get skipped, targets drift and reps work without feedback. A full-time sales manager is often too expensive at this stage, and a senior hire can take months to find.
A fractional sales manager fills that gap. You get the structure and accountability of a manager for a monthly fee, and you can scale it up or down as the team grows.
What a week looks like
- Monday: team check-in to set the week's targets and priorities.
- Midweek: one-on-one coaching with reps who are behind, plus call reviews.
- Thursday or Friday: pipeline review, deal by deal, to agree on next steps and clean up the CRM.
- End of week: a short update for you on activity, pipeline and anything that needs your decision.
Metrics we track
We keep the numbers simple so everyone knows what matters: calls and emails sent, conversations held, meetings booked, opportunities created, proposals sent and deals closed. Each rep has clear weekly targets, and the monthly scorecard shows trends rather than one-off numbers.
Hiring and onboarding new reps
When you are ready to hire, we write the job description, screen and interview candidates with you, and build a 30-day onboarding plan so new reps are productive faster. We have helped firms in the US, Canada and the UK add remote sales and IT staff to their teams.
How we work with you
You stay in control of strategy, pricing and key accounts. We run the day-to-day management and bring you the decisions that need you. Everything happens in your tools, so there is nothing new for your team to learn, and you can see every update.
Questions about sales team management
What is a fractional sales manager?
A part-time sales manager who runs your team's targets, check-ins, pipeline reviews and coaching for a monthly fee, instead of a full-time salaried hire.
How many reps can you manage?
We work with teams from one rep upward. Scope and price depend on team size and how often you want check-ins.
Do you work in our CRM?
Yes. We work in your existing CRM, or help set one up if you don't have one. See our operations service.
Are you an employee?
No. We work as an independent contractor under a simple service agreement.
Hired reps but no time to manage them?
A 30-minute call is enough to see if we're a fit.
